— A LEGENDARY MAXI OCEAN RACER —

The CJ LEGEND truly is legendary. She was built in 1989 as CHARLES JOURDAN for the Whitbread Round The World Race (today known as the Volvo Ocean Race).
The yacht is one of the few boats from that era still sailing today.
She is therefore listed as a Legend Boat of these events.
Here is just a few of the 72 footer's impressive results:

The CJ Legend was the first yacht in the world to sail an "Etmal" of over 400 nm
(noon to noon, 24 h. run). The average speed at this endeavor was 17 knots.
In 1993/94, the maxi-yacht was rebuilt (hull, deck layout, mast, boom, keel) to make her even faster. In the following years CJ Legend won numerous races, including first place twice in the legendary "Fastnet Race", once with a lead of more than 20 h. to the next Maxi yacht. With its history, its dimensions and data, the CJ Legend gets the hearts of experienced skippers beat faster. To this day, CJ is still a sporty and very fast yacht.
